Cookie policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on www.foxinaboxchicago.com, what they do and how you can control them. Our privacy policy covers what personal information we collect and how we use it. Questions? Email info@foxinaboxchicago.com or call or text (312) 291-1127.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on later visits. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and small tracking images (“pixels”), work the same way, and this page covers them too.

Google Tag Manager loads the Google and Meta tags above. It doesn’t set cookies of its own.

Cookies from embedded services

Some pages include features run by other companies. When they load, those companies may set their own cookies, which their own policies cover:

  • Resova: the booking calendar, gift card and waiver widgets.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: the check on our contact and quote forms that confirms you’re a person.
  • Google Maps: the map on our contact and location pages.
  • Google Customer Reviews: the reviews badge.
  • Tripadvisor: a reviews widget on some of our articles.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also collects anonymous visit statistics without using cookies.

How to control cookies

  • In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, for all sites or only for ours. The site still works without them, though embedded features such as the booking calendar or the map may not.
  • Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Ads: manage how Google shows you ads at Google Ad Settings, and how Meta does in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. You can also opt out of many interest-based ads through the Network Advertising Initiative.

Deleting cookies doesn’t stop new ones from being set on your next visit unless you also change your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

The cookies we use can change when we add or remove services. When they do, we’ll update this page and the date below.
