What we collect
- Information you send us. When you use our contact or quote forms we receive what you type in: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, company or school, group size, preferred date and your message.
- Bookings, payments, gift cards and waivers. These are handled by our booking provider, Resova, on its own pages and widgets. Resova collects the details needed for your booking (such as your name, email address, phone number and payment details) and passes your booking details to us. We never see or store your full card number.
- How you use the site. Like most websites, we and the services below automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site and roughly where you are (city level), using cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To answer your questions, prepare quotes and run your booking or event.
- To contact you about your booking or inquiry.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- To measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing).
- To keep the site and our forms secure and free of spam.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only for those purposes:
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Its Turnstile check confirms that form submissions come from a person, not a bot.
- Resend delivers the messages you send through our forms to our inbox.
- Resova handles bookings, payments, gift cards and waivers, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Google provides Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (site statistics), Google Ads (ad measurement and remarketing), the Google Maps embed on our pages and the Google Customer Reviews badge.
- Stape runs the server that passes our Google Analytics measurements on to Google.
- Tripadvisor provides a reviews widget on some of our articles.
- Meta (Facebook) provides a pixel that measures our Facebook and Instagram advertising and lets us show ads to people who have visited our site.
We may also disclose information when we believe the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We and the providers above use them to keep the site working, remember your cookie banner choice, count visits and measure and personalise ads. Our cookie policy lists each cookie and what it does. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some embedded features (such as the booking calendar or map) may not.
Your choices
- Ads: manage how Google shows you ads at Google Ad Settings, and how Meta does in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. You can also opt out of many interest-based ads through the Network Advertising Initiative.
- Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Do Not Track: our site does not currently change its behaviour in response to Do Not Track browser signals.
- Your information: to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop hearing from us, email info@foxinaboxchicago.com or call us. We’ll respond as soon as we can.
Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS (an encrypted connection). Payments are processed by Resova and its payment providers, not on our servers. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a data breach affected your personal information, we would notify you by email within 7 business days.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Bookings for younger players are made by a parent, guardian or other adult. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as review sites and social networks. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
